1978–1990
Production lines and the establishment of TeraPlast
The first extrusion lines for PVC profiles and pipes are commissioned. The first dosing and mixing line is also commissioned, supplying part of the granules required by the existing extrusion lines and the other 22 lines installed during the same year. In 1990, TeraPlast is established following the division of the Bistrița Construction Materials Enterprise, which operated terracotta and plastics processing units.
1992
Access to international markets
TeraPlast enters into a strategic partnership with the Hungarian company GemencPlast Rt, gaining access to international markets through the adoption of advanced production technologies.
1998
TeraPlast Group
The foundations of TeraPlast Group are laid, with TeraPlast as its founder and leading company.
2017
TeraPlast Recycling
Investment begins in the recycling unit within TeraPlast SA, with operations starting on 15 November 2017.
2019
A standalone company
On 1 April 2019, TeraPlast Recycling becomes a standalone company within TeraPlast Group.
2021
TeraPlast — the only Romanian company in the European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association (TEPPFA)
TeraPlast SA, TeraPlast Group’s parent company, becomes a member of TEPPFA (The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association) in February.
