TeraPlast Group

TeraPlast Group is one of the largest manufacturer of construction materials in Romania.

The grup includes: TeraPlast, TeraGlass, TeraPlast Recycling, Somplast, and Palplast.

The TeraPlast Group’s mission is to offer efficient solutions for people and the environment, through high quality services and products. It helped the Group maintain itself in the service of its clients and partners, while also dedicating itself to continuous development.

For more than 120 years, The TeraPlast Group has always been oriented towards development, innovation and sustainability. Thus, at present, the group offers complete solutions in the field of constructions, through the six lines of business: installations, joinery profiles, PVC granules and windows and doors.  Since July 2008, TeraPlast SA has been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, under the symbol TRP.

In the last 10 years, the TeraPlast Group invested more than 100 million euros.

Since April 2019, TeraPlast Recycling has been in charge of all recycling activity.

More than 120 years of tradition

Walter Schuster established a ceramic tile manufacturing shop in Bistrita.
1978 - 1990

Production lines and the founding of TeraPlast

The first extrusion lines for PVC pipes and profiles commence operation. The first dosing – mixing line is also commissioned. It provided some of the necessary granules for the existing extrusion lines and for the other 22 commissioned ones, during same year. TeraPlast is formed in 1990, following the separation of the Bistrita Construction Materials Company.
1992

Access to foreign markets

TeraPlast strikes a deal with GemencPlast Rt., a Hungarian company, with the purpose of ensuring access to foreign markets, through the use of advanced production technology.
1998

The TeraPlast Group

The TeraPlast Group is founded by TeraPlast.
2017

TeraPlast Recycling

TeraPlast starts to invest in its recycling business. Activity starts on November 15, 2017.
2021

TeraPlast – the only Romanian company part of The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association (TEPPFA)

TeraPlast SA, the parent-company of TeraPlast Group, is a member of TEPPFA (The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association) starting February.
